Wardrobe Wednesdays: A Dream Book Release Party

I’ve been inspired to do some work on my blog this month by my friend Javacia, founder of See Jane Write, a female bloggers’ group here in Birmingham. During January, I’ll take steps in her 31 Days To A Better Blog challenge. One of those steps, No. 2 for Jan. 2, was to generate a blog editorial calendar. Many bloggers have a weekly schedule that they stick with from week to week. In the past, I’ve been all over the map with when I post and what I post, save for Weigh-in Fridays. Now I’ve decided to incorporate Magnificent Mondays, and my plan is to consistently write about fashion on Wardrobe Wednesdays. Today, for instance, I am showing you a dream outfit. As a blogger/writer/editor, of course I have a dream of writing a book one day. What writer doesn’t? And in that dream, the outfit below is what I would wear to my book release party. The dress would have to be purple, of course, the jacket would have to be something other than an ordinary blazer and the clutch? Well, it’s my dream and I dream of Christian Louboutin.

I’m excited to make some improvements to my blog this month and, while I may still publish random posts on other days of the week, having a specific plan in mind for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will hopefully help keep me focused and keep me posting regularly.

About stellarfashionandfitness

I am Jennifer Dome, a 33-year-old woman living in Birmingham, Ala., miles from my Northeast-based family and some of my closest friends, but loving the Magic City, my BF and the friends I’ve made here in the South. I’ve lived in nine different states, plus London, and worked for some top-notch publications (Southern Living, Women’s Wear Daily) as a writer and copy editor. Now I am the assistant editor at a bass fishing magazine. I’ve struggled with my weight for as long as I remember, at one time tipping the scale at 289 pounds. At the end of 2009, weighing in at about 275, I started counting calories and exercising regularly, finally finding some success in this ongoing battle. After a scare from my doctor in early 2010, that success became even more important to my overall health. It’s still a challenge, and the scale definitely moves up and down instead of just down, but my confidence that I will reach my goal is solid.
