Today is the start of #bloglikecrazy, a November challenge from See Jane Write founder Javacia during which we write a new post for every day of the month. Should be fun! I participated last year, but I’m not sure I wrote a post for all 30 days. So this month, that’s my goal!
Since this challenge is for bloggers, aka writers, I’m assuming a lot of you (even if you’re just a lover of blogs!) are proud word nerds like I am. And word nerds need presents, too! So, ever-so-subtly leave this post open in front of your husband/boyfriend/parents/kids and hope that they’ll get you one (or more) of the following during this upcoming holiday season!
1. Vintage Book Ring from Birmingham’s own Christy Turnipseed
I am in love with these rings and you can choose from dozens of well-known classics to feature. Christy sells earrings and necklaces, too. My favorite? Mr. Darcy, of course.
2. Grammar snob T-shirts
I pretty much love every one of these T-shirts from Cafe Press! I try hard to write well, though I know I make mistakes. Probably often. But some of these are just too funny … and educational, too!
3. I Like Big Books And I Cannot Lie tote
Also from Cafe Press, this just cracks me up! It makes me think of one of my favorite episodes of “Friends”
4. DIY Book Wreath
If you’re looking for a DIY project to give to someone who loves books, wreaths made from recycled book pages are beautiful, and depending on the books(s) you choose to use, can be very meaningful, too. I love this one from By Stephanie Lynn, though it does look very ornate! There are tutorials for simpler versions out there.
5. Keep Calm And Proof Read poster from Zazzle
Yeah, this print is pretty much me. I think I need this for my home office!
6. Vintage Typewriter Mousepad
Also from Zazzle, this just so happens to be my favorite color, but it comes in more colors. Have you ever written anything on a typewriter? I remember my mom and I filling out my college applications on one … and that’s the last time I used it!
7. I Write Therefore I Rewrite mug
Zazzle just has some great stuff for writers, this mug included. And, sadly, I do rewrite. A lot. I may or may not have just rewritten this sentence.
Now, for all you people out there who have a friend or family member who’s a writer, get to shopping! (Hint: These would all make great stocking stuffers!)
