Weekly Workout Plan

It’s Monday, friends! The beginning of a new week, with new plans and fresh to-do lists.

I’m actually off work today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And I’m taking it easy — finally watching “Making of a Murderer” on Netflix, doing laundry and cleaning.

But I have a full schedule of workouts planned for the week! I’m looking forward to them, too, though I’m still sore from my first personal training session on Saturday. I keep telling myself, “just do the best you can!” And that will be my plan for each workout.

Monday: Torque — an hour-long Crossfit style workout at Gold’s. I’m meeting a friend for one of the evening classes, which is great because it will ensure that I go.

Tuesday: spinning! I haven’t been to this class in far too long, so I’m looking forward to going back.

Wednesday: training session at 5:30 a.m.!

Thursday: I’m thinking of going to a yoga class. I think the extra stretching will be nice after three hardcore workouts in a row.

Friday: I’ll either go to Torque again before work or do a walk/run after work.

I also have some meals planned for the week, including pot roast and the leftovers, pasta and meatballs and (homemade) taco salads for lunch. I’m stocking up on fruit, nuts and yogurt for snacks.

I’m trying to take one week at a time and see how the workouts go, how the meals go, and adjust as needed if I’m too worn out or if I’m not seeing the progress I’d like. I think it’s a good balance, so we’ll see how it goes!

What workouts do you have planned for the week? Any tasty meals on the menu?
