Get ready, everyone! The Makeshift 5k is back!
That’s right, in two months on Saturday, April 2, we will hold the first Stellar Fitness Makeshift 5k of 2016!
You know what that means, right?
If you’ve never walked or run a 3.1-mile race, you’ve got plenty of time to train! And since this is a “show up and run/walk at your own pace” kind of deal, you don’t have to worry about being super fast or paying any money.
Just come join us for the fun and challenge of a 5k!
As with the Makeshift 5ks in 2015, there’s a virtual side to this event so you can participate even if you don’t live in Birmingham, Ala. But if you do live in the Ham, we’ll meet at Lakeshore Trail the morning of April 2 and head out for a 3.1-mile run or walk, then return to the parking lot near the soccer fields off Green Springs Hwy. for water, snacks and chill time!
In the next two months, look for articles here on the blog on walking and running to get you ready. I will also share resources on my Facebook page, and the Stellar Fit Fam Facebook group, so be sure to join us there!
