Citrus In Charleston

Last weekend My husband and I celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary in Charleston.

Despite days of rain with little reprieve, on our last evening in the Holy City, the skies cleared slightly, leaving room for a romantic after dinner stroll.

And being the supportive husband he is, he obliged my requests to take a few photos of my new Lane Bryant maxi dress by twilight.

The pink buildings with iconic porches, churches adorned with columns and sparkling fountains made the perfect backdrop for my tangerine dress, decorated at the neck and belt with tassels.

I paired the maxi with my new favorite tan gladiator sandals, hoops with raspberry-colored tassels and Coach lemon-and-lime cross body bag (similar).

Please don’t mind the frizz of my hair and sheen of my skin — the aftermath of a rainy day in the South is bound to make you glow!

A tip from my husband to your significant others: Maxi dresses like to “swish,” as he says, so don’t tread too closely to her side. Give her dress room to flow!
