My Travel Go-To Outfit

I’ve been really lucky to get to travel a lot in the past two years. Sometimes for work, sometimes for fun, but I always take along some combination of my favorite, easy outfit: a flowy top and slim-fitting pants.

When I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with my husband over Labor Day weekend, I took one of my summer favorites along because the temperature was supposed to be in the 80s. I was glad I had this palm-printed, butterfly-sleeved top from Lane Bryant to wear since it helped me stay cool while we saw the sights, including the beautiful Smoky Mountains!

Cropped pants are easy to wear on the road because they can look dressy with a higher heel, or pair easily with flat sandals or ballet flats. This pair from Lane Bryant has quite a bit of stretch, too, which is great when you’re indulging in treats like pancakes.

I brought another top with similar colors to pair with the same cropped pants if I wanted to, and the necklace and shoes would’ve also matched that top, so the number of accessories I had to bring was minimal.

It was fun to wear these summery blues during the last weekend of summer. Looking toward fall, I know I can pair this exact outfit with a blazer or jean jacket and get a few more wears out of it.

What is your go-to outfit when you travel?
