I never seem to have as much time to read as I would like to, but I was able to read a few great blog posts and article this week. Here are a few recommendations for you to enjoy while curled up on your couch with a blanket.
1.) My Pretty Brown’s excitement for the new Barbie modeled after Ashley Graham definitely matches my own. I hope I can get this new body positive Barbie for Christmas!
2.) Soul In Stereo’s album review of Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic gave me a hope for a holiday season filled with beats that lift me up and make me want to dance.
3.) As a member of See Jane Write, I am loving reading the #bloglikecrazy posts from the other women. One of my favorites has been Folkways Nowadays, specifically the post “Pretty is as Pretty Does.” As a Yankee in the South, learning more about the fun (and funny) Southern sayings I hear out and about is educational and a hoot!
4.) While doing some research for work, I came across this interesting piece on Anna Wintour’s garden in east Long Island. The photos are stunning!
5.) If you’ve read my last couple of posts, you know I’ve been stressed out this week, so I need to take a page from Spiffy Eats & Giggle Water and try the meditation she recommended in a recent post.
6.) If there’s any guess to why I’m sugesting that you listen to this song (and the rest of his album) on repeat, just see the article in No. 2.
7. I’m slowly listening to “The Nightingale” on Audible, thanks to a gift from my friend Mallory. It’s beautiful, and I definitely think you should give it a listen.
